In 1996 Nike made an endorsement deal with Oregon University Football.Oregon has been given a new jersey for every game of the season. The jerseys are different combinations of designs and colors and are catching a lot of attention. Not only are they getting free jerseys for every game they also are being payed for it. This is one of the biggest examples of gross endorsement I have ever seen, and its starting to pay off for Nike because it has drawn a lot of attention.Oregon has not worn the same jersey back to back since 2003 which shows you how many jerseys they have gotten. This is also making a lot of money because people will want all different kinds of jerseys so the more you have the better.All in all I think this was good move for both sides of the deal.

ReplyDeleteThis is crazy, new uniform every game? Nike has to make good money off of the jerseys because they are so extravagant. Also, Oregon usually has a good football program, so when people see a team succeeding in Nike athletic wear, they want to wear Nike clothing.
ReplyDeleteI don't even like Oregon football but I always like to go to the game real quick and check out the jerseys they're wearing for the game. If I were a football player I'd want to go to Oregon not only because they have a great program but also because of all the jerseys they get. It was definitely a good investment on both sides to make this deal because both Oregon and Nike are getting a lot of attention from it.
